Cambridge garden
This slightly awkward narrow space was designed to be a shaded extension to the house, connecting the outside and inside with relaxed built in benches for outdoor dining, whilst also providing a place for children to play. The design allows the garden to be broken up into separate ‘zones’ allowing space for peaceful contemplation, entertaining, storage and play. Materials are kept simple with re-claimed bricks used for terracing and edging the boarders and re-claimed oak for the furniture. Planting is low maintenance, soft and naturalistic spilling over pathways giving the garden a sense of enclosure and safety.
