Queens Park garden

This garden was designed alongside a total renovation of the beautiful Victorian terraced house.  Original features of the house have been retained whilst contemporary crittal doors lead out on to the garden.  The brief was to create an urban garden with plenty of space for children to play (a large lawn was essential), outdoor dining, privacy from neighbours, storage space and naturalistic planting to attract wildlife.

A contemporary garden was designed with deep planting beds that stagger the view from the house giving the illusion of size, multi-stemmed trees allow a view through to the rear of the garden breaking up the space and encouraging people to move through.  The garden will be a peaceful and fragrant haven of greenery in central London providing a fun place for children to play and a stylish additional ‘room’ for the beautifully redesigned home.  The generous planting, a mix of evergreen lushness, grasses and naturalistic perennials will blur the geometric lines of the design creating a pleasing balance.
